I don't regret a thing about using macOS Hackintosh as my daily OS/computer. MacOS just does multitasking better than Windows, and is responsive and a joy to use. This was back in the Snow Leopard times :-) Never skipped a beat, transferred all across with Time Machine backup, was identical to using the iMac (except possibly raw speed), but I had good NVIDIA graphics, unlike the iMac. I did use my AMD Athlon64x2 system as a backup computer when the old 2010 iMac was in for repairs (2 months in total). Never really need to boot into Windows unless I need to try an unavailable console emulation. I had many Hackintosh computers before this, but they were more like a hobby on the side. It is only running Mojave as I have such a large macOS Steam library, and 98% of the games on there are 32-bit only :-( It also runs a 5TB Plex server throughout the house, and is usually left on 24/7. Apple lists the following products as being vintage: 21.5in iMac (2013 and.

I use it for all internet/social things, as well as some light Photoshop/Illustrator work. Apple Authorized Service Providers will repair vintage products for up to seven years, as long as parts are available. Gone from i7-2600+GTX650OC running Mavericks all the way up to i7-8700+RX580 running Mojave, but I sold the RX 580 and now use a GTX770 :-(
